Legendary Spawns on Pixelmon & Cobblemon

How and where legendaries spawn on Blaze Gaming's Pixelmon and Cobblemon servers: the hourly spawn chance, Cobblemon spawn biomes and the Legend Pool.

Short answer: once an hour, our Pixelmon and Cobblemon servers roll a chance to spawn a legendary Pokémon. If it triggers, the legendary spawns on a random online player who isn't AFK, and for the next hour no other player can steal it from them. Ultra Beasts spawn the same way. Type /lastlegend in-game to see the most recent legendary, Ultra Beast and shiny spawns.

How do legendary spawns work?

Every hour, the server rolls for a legendary

Legendary spawns are timed. Once an hour there's a chance one spawns, so not every hour brings a legendary.

A random active player is picked

If the chance triggers, the server picks a random online player who isn't AFK, and the legendary spawns on them.

The legendary is protected for an hour

For one hour, the player it spawned on doesn't have to worry about anyone else stealing it, so take your time with the battle and the catch.

Ultra Beasts use the same system.

How can I improve my chances?

• Stay active. AFK players are skipped when the server picks who gets a spawn.

• Vote every day. Every vote party spawns a legendary on a random voter. See Voting.

• Use the Legend Pool. Trade in legendaries you don't need for a shot at a new one (see below).

Where do legendaries spawn?

The table below lists where each legendary can spawn on the Cobblemon server. Rarity is the spawn bucket (Uncommon, Rare or Ultra Rare), and a multiplier like Storm ×1.3 means the spawn chance is boosted in that weather.

What is the Legend Pool?

The Legend Pool lets you turn legendaries you don't want into a chance at a new one. Players deposit their unwanted legendary Pokémon, and those deposits trigger a new random legendary spawn on one of the players who contributed. The more you deposit, the better your chance of being the one it spawns on.

Other ways to get a legendary

• Vote parties: every vote party spawns a legendary on a random voter.

• Legendary Spins and Shiny Legendary Spins: from crates, events and tournaments, and also sold in our store.

• Tournament rewards: each server runs a monthly tournament (on Pixelmon, the Mega Monthly Tournament).

• The Global Trade System: buy legendaries from other players on the GTS.

• Giveaways: keep an eye on our Discord.

Frequently asked questions

How often do legendaries spawn on Blaze?

Once an hour, the server rolls a chance to spawn a legendary, so it doesn't happen every hour. Vote parties and the Legend Pool add extra spawns on top of that.

Can another player steal a legendary that spawned on me?

No. For one hour after it spawns, the legendary is protected for the player it spawned on.

Can I get a legendary spawn while I'm AFK?

No. The server only picks players who aren't AFK.

How do I see which legendaries spawned recently?

Type /lastlegend in-game. It lists the most recent legendary, Ultra Beast and shiny spawns.

Can legendaries be shiny?

Yes. Shiny Legendary Spins give shiny legendaries, and shiny spawns show up in /lastlegend.

Do legendaries work the same on Pixelmon and Cobblemon?

Yes. Both servers use the same hourly spawns, protection and Legend Pool. Your Pokémon stay on the server where you caught them. See Cobblemon vs Pixelmon for everything else that differs.
