# Resource Pack

What Blaze Gaming's resource pack adds, how to get it with or without our modpack, and how to fix missing textures on our Pixelmon and Cobblemon servers.

Our resource pack adds Blaze's custom models, custom Pokémon skins, custom menu textures, emojis, armor and tool sets, and more. It's built into our official modpacks, so if you play with Pixelmon Plus+ or Cobblemon Plus+, you already have it. Playing without the modpack? The server offers you the pack when you join, or you can download it yourself.

## What does the resource pack add?

* **Custom models** for our items and features, such as [Modifiers](/features/modifiers.md)
* **Custom Pokémon skins**
* **Custom menu textures** for our in-game menus
* **Emojis**
* **Armor and tool sets**
* …and more

On our Cobblemon server, the resource pack and our custom datapacks are also how every Pokémon from generations 1 to 9 is on the server.

| Installing it yourself | Download it from [pixelrp.mc-blaze.com](https://pixelrp.mc-blaze.com) (Pixelmon) or [cobblerp.mc-blaze.com](https://cobblerp.mc-blaze.com) (Cobblemon), or type `/resourcepack` in-game for the link. |

{% hint style="warning" %}
**On Pixelmon without our modpack,** the version the server sends when you join leaves out our custom Pokémon skins, because server resource packs have a size limit. To see the skins, play with [Pixelmon Plus+](/guides/modpack-installation-guide.md) or download the full pack from [pixelrp.mc-blaze.com](https://pixelrp.mc-blaze.com).
{% endhint %}

## How do I install the pack myself?

{% stepper %}
{% step %}

#### Download the pack for your server

Pixelmon: [pixelrp.mc-blaze.com](https://pixelrp.mc-blaze.com). Cobblemon: [cobblerp.mc-blaze.com](https://cobblerp.mc-blaze.com).
{% endstep %}

{% step %}

#### Put it in your resource packs folder

In Minecraft, open **Options → Resource Packs → Open Pack Folder**, and move the downloaded file into that folder. Don't unzip it.
{% endstep %}

{% step %}

#### Turn it on and join

Back on the **Resource Packs** screen, click the Blaze pack to move it into **Selected**, keep it at the top, and click **Done**. Then join
space.vars.SERVER\_IP
.
{% endstep %}
{% endstepper %}

## How do I update it?

* **With our modpack:** update the modpack in CurseForge or the Modrinth App when a new version comes out. The resource pack updates with it.
* **Without our modpack:** the server sends you the latest version when you join.
* **If you installed it yourself:** download it again and replace the old file.

## My textures look wrong or are missing. How do I fix it?

If our custom items look like plain Minecraft items (for example, [Modifiers](/features/modifiers.md) showing up as Magma Cream), the resource pack isn't loaded properly:

1. Press **F3 + T** to reload your textures.
2. Log out of the server and join again.
3. Still not working? Ask for help on our [Discord](https://discord.gg/blaze).

{% hint style="info" %}
**Said no to the prompt by mistake?** Minecraft remembers your answer. In **Multiplayer**, select Blaze Gaming, click **Edit**, set **Server Resource Packs** to **Prompt** or **Enabled**, click **Done**, and join again.
{% endhint %}

## Frequently asked questions

### Is it the same pack on Pixelmon and Cobblemon?

The base of the pack is the same, but each server has its own version with its own Pixelmon or Cobblemon assets. Use the pack for the server you're playing on.

### Do I need the resource pack to play?

You can join without it, but you'll miss a lot: our custom items show up as plain Minecraft items (Modifiers look like Magma Cream), and you won't see our custom menus, Pokémon skins or emojis. The easiest way to get everything is our modpack: see the [Modpack Installation Guide](/guides/modpack-installation-guide.md).

### Why can't I see the custom Pokémon skins on Pixelmon?

If you joined without our modpack, the version of the pack the server sends leaves out the Pixelmon skins because of the size limit on server resource packs. Play with Pixelmon Plus+, or download the full pack from [pixelrp.mc-blaze.com](https://pixelrp.mc-blaze.com).

### Can I use other resource packs with it?

Usually, yes. Keep the Blaze pack at the top of your **Selected** list so your other packs don't cover our textures. If something still looks wrong, turn your other packs off and press **F3 + T**.
